Fact...The customer's turf shown above was a completely different weighted, and style of grass she actually signed for. It had the Same color appearance of Field,and Kraft green, however weighed 24 oz less than the sample box shown.
How do they get away with it you ask?
Competitors simply add more sand and rubber to make up for quality or density.
Unfortunatley you can't prove it in court unless you have the 5 products offered in that style. We did, and showed this customer that what she had installed was indeed 3 classes and less denser than shown during the estimate.
Whether it was purposely or accidentally done we'll never know.
Always request a sample at the time of any estimate. Lawn or putting green.
Also make sure when the installation comes along to match it up prior to the actual installation.
Samples,or swatches are regularly collected for granite,marble,hardwood floors, paint,and even interlocking pavers.It be offered for synthetic grass, and putting greens as well.
If the competing company is claiming that they've installed thousands of sq feet, and have been around for 10 years, request a one square foot swatch.
